Visitor statistics with Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 only if you choose Accept in the cookie banner. If you choose Decline, or close the banner without choosing, Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set.
With your consent, we record which pages you visit, how you found the site, what type of device and browser you use, and roughly where the visit comes from. We also record when you click a link to a shop: which shop, which product and where on the page the link was. We use this to see what is useful and to improve the site. We don't use the data for advertising.
Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_MPKE1T1BYV. With Google's default settings they are kept for up to two years unless you delete them sooner.
The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. This does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it.
Google Ireland Limited is our processor for analytics. The data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission has found to provide an adequate level of protection.
Google Analytics deletes user data 14 months after your last visit. Other event data is deleted after two months. Aggregated statistics that can't be linked to you may be kept longer.
Visitor statistics with Ahrefs Web Analytics
We also use Ahrefs Web Analytics for visitor statistics. It sets no cookies and stores no personal data, so it loads without consent.
Links to shops
Some links to shops are affiliate links. They go through the affiliate networks Awin and AddRevenue, or through ADO's own affiliate programme, which runs on GoAffPro. When you click one, you leave ecommute.bike. The network or programme and the shop may then set their own cookies under their own terms and privacy policies. They are responsible for that processing.
If you email us at hello@ecommute.bike, we use your email address and your message to reply. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering questions, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. We keep the email for up to 24 months.
Hosting and server logs
ecommute.bike is hosted by Cloudflare. When you visit the site, technical data is recorded in Cloudflare's server logs, including your IP address and the page requested. This is needed to deliver the pages and protect the site against abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the site securely, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Cloudflare is our processor. Cloudflare, Inc. is a US company and is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Cloudflare does not state a fixed retention period for these logs. They are kept for as long as Cloudflare needs them to deliver the pages and protect the service.
Data stored only in your browser
Your choice in the cookie banner is stored in your browser (localStorage) under the name cookie_consent, together with the time you made it. That way we don't have to ask on every visit.
The site owner uses a setting called ga_internal so that their own visits are left out of the statistics. It is stored in the owner's browser (localStorage) and is not a visitor cookie.
Your colour theme (ecommute-theme) and your compare shortlist (ecommute-shortlist) are stored only in your browser (localStorage).
Your rights
You have the right to know what data we hold about you and to have incorrect data corrected. You can ask for data to be erased or for processing to be restricted, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Data you have provided yourself can be given to you in a machine-readable format. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Email hello@ecommute.bike to use any of these rights.
If you think we are handling your data incorrectly, you can complain to IMY (the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection), imy.se.
